THE GALIA REVOLUTION. New on the GALIA market with ORANGE meat.
(M-10699)Round, slightly flattened fruit of 1.5 kg of average weight and intense orange flesh. It is medium in both abundance and intensity. It stands out for its high brix of 14.5º and uniformity in production. It develops a very vigorous dark plant.
After more than 8 years of research in a melon improvement programme, the first orange flesh toad skin melon was obtained, this flesh colour provides a high beta-carotene content 12 times higher than that of a traditional toad skin melon. This first melon was SOROLLA in 2017, a variety that provides a great organoleptic quality and an inimitable post-harvest endurance.
Our research work has continued and we now have a catalogue of varieties of all types of melon.
Our GALIA Orange Flesh is in the niche market of Galia melons, providing a long life and also a great sweetness, a peculiar aroma, with a consistent soft texture that allows you to “Taste with a spoon”. These are characteristics that have been lost in the traditional Galia melons on the Spanish market, where organoleptic quality, aroma and brix degrees have been sacrificed in order to give the fruit a long life.
